Spring Valley Nevada State Park with my Xolitzcuintli

We checked out Spring Valley State Park, but stayed in Pioche, the RV park there is actually cheaper, and it has full hook ups and wifi. No Wifi or cell service at all up here, but the RV spaces are nice, as well as the landscape. Nevada state parks are generally $17 for nonresidents, $15 for residents, and a little more if there are hook ups. Toto needs to burn off some energy, and he is making himself a difficult dog on this trip!

Baker NV at Great Basin National Park Fulltime RV

Some locals tell me, this town used to be more booming before they created Great Basin National Park in 1986. When they created the park, they blocked off a lot of roads, so now you have to hike in like 20 miles to get to the cool spots. The hunting and fishing also died off. Not much left except scenery. Need to drive to Ely for any real groceries.

Strawberry Creek Great Basin NV Free Camping NOT RV Friendly!

I broke my own rules, and didn’t pre-scout the location! Strawberry Creek is only appropriate for vans and truck campers, maybe a 20′ Class C, but not for any average motorhome. Mine is 26′, which is considered on the small side, and I almost thought I was going to get stuck! NO room to turn around.
